“Great White Shark Trips Aboard Nautilus Explorer”
Luxury Vessel Offers Itineraries From Alaska To Mexico
October 23, 2007
"Nautilus Explorer" announces: Prices held for 2008 on great white shark trips (info@nautilusexplorer.com)

2007 has turned out to be our best season ever for diving with the great white sharks of Guadalupe Island, Mexico. We had an absolutely phenomenal year with the number of positively identified white sharks in the area
being revised from 112 to 150 animals!! Photo opportunities were super hot with up to 5 white sharks swimming around the cages at one time. We encourage anyone interested in going face-to-face with a great white shark
to book their 2008 berth as early as possible. We are holding our pricing to 2007 levels for now but that may not be possible for much longer given skyrocketing fuel prices and the decline of the US dollar. All deposited
bookings for 2008 and 2009 will be honored and not subject to the price increase.

More exciting news from Guadalupe Island. Mexican shark scientist Mauricio Hoyos reports that he spent 22 hours tracking a 1.5 metre great white shark that he tagged on October 3, 2007. A 1.5 metre shark is a NEWBORN!! We had already seen two 6 footers and a 7 footer this season (6-7 feet would be an animal less than 1 year old) but this is the first time that anyone has seen a NEWBORN!! at Guadalupe Island. The implications are stuning to those of us who love sharks - the discovery could well mean that Guadalupe is a nursery for NEWBORN great white sharks. Mauricio is going to continue tracking this baby shark as long as he can. Check out the Captain's Log at www.nautilusexplorer.com for updates and to find out what happens.

For those attending DEMA 2007, come and see us at booth 879 and don't forget the four seminars that Captain Mike is putting on.

Safe and fun diving all,

Mike, Mary Anne and Judith
